March 10, 2025 RICHMOND, Calif. – Marking the 25th Anniversary of Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park, Rosie the Riveter Trust will hold a media availability and photo opportunity on National Rosie the Riveter Day, Friday, March 21. Original World War II ‘Rosies’ – local women who worked on the WW II home front and are now in their late 90s and 100s – will be honored. Local elected officials, labor representatives, and community members will sign a declaration in tribute of the park’s 25th anniversary. Members of the general public are invited to attend.
This event will kick off a year of 25th anniversary activities and initiatives to celebrate the park’s establishment, a Congressional act passed in 2000 and signed by President Clinton to honor civilian contributions to the WWII war effort. Other events planned include a community art contest and exhibition, special monthly speakers and tours, and a Rosie Rally festival to be held in June.
