Store volunteers welcome visitors from around the world, assist with purchases, answer questions, and help create a memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Every sale supports educational programs, exhibits, and preservation efforts that keep the stories of the WWII Home Front alive. Whether you're passionate about history, community service, or simply enjoy connecting with people, we'd love to have you on our team.
- Warmly welcome visitors, sell shop items, and answer questions about shop items
- Operate the register and handle transactions
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise
- Assist with fulfillment of online store orders, including pulling merchandise, packing shipments, and preparing packages using pre-generated mailing labels
- Help promote the sign-up of HFH memberships
- Maintain a clean and inviting gift shop space
- Optional: assist with special programs, events, or promotions
Qualifications: Open to anyone 18 and over who is friendly, reliable, and comfortable with public interactions, is comfortable learning how to use our digital register (we are cashless!), assist with packaging online orders, restocking shelves, putting price tags on items, and can commit to regular shifts
Time Commitment: Flexible! 2 - 4 hour shifts, weekly or bi-weekly.
