MORE ABOUT THE PARK
Rosie the Riveter / World War II Home Front National Historical Park is located on the San Francisco Bay in Richmond, California. Because Richmond contains more intact WWII Home Front sites than any other place in the USA, it was designated as the "flagship" site for telling the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front story in the year 2000. We invite you to explore, learn, and celebrate the social and cultural changes that took place during this pivotal time in history.
Several sights have been chosen to represent the home front story throughout Richmond, including the SS Red Oak Victory Ship, the Whirley Crane, the Rosie the Riveter Memorial at Marina Bay Park, the Japanese American Nurseries, and many more. Start your tour of the Park at the Visitor's Center to pick up a full guide!
