Virtual Wall of Honor
Launched in 2022 for the celebration of national “Rosie the Riveter Day,” the installation along the Bay Trail serves to commemorate the history of World War II home front workers and “Rosie the Riveters.” Their commitment to work together for the common good helped bring victory to the United States and its allies.
The Wall of Honor and this virtual companion will continue to grow as photos and biographies are collected from families of WWII home front workers, and will be exhibited in various locations throughout the SF Bay Area and beyond.
Rosie the Riveter Trust celebrates the stories of sacrifice, opportunity, and profound social change that took place in America during World War II. As the official nonprofit partner of Rosie the Riveter/World War Il Home Front National Historical Park located in Richmond, California, we help honor the strong work ethic of people from all backgrounds who worked on the home front. Through historic preservation and educational programming, we inspire people to learn from history and apply those lessons in today's world.
We would like to thank New West Company for generously donating the portion of the Richmond Bay Trail for the physical exhibit. You can see it when you take the walk from the Visitor Center to the Rosie the Riveter Memorial at Marina Bay Park.
